The Concord Park Public Consultation process has sought input into the components and design of the new neighbourhood park that will be the central organizing feature of the Concord Park Place development in the Toronto neighbourhood of Willowdale. Input has been gathered from local residents, key stakeholders, and City staff.
Ward 24 City Councillor David Shiner, City of Toronto Parks Forestry and Recreation and the site developer, Concord Adex have worked together to ensure local residents and neighbourhood associations are engaged in the park design process.
The site will also feature a new community centre and library at the location of the south Bessarion subway station. There are also 2 blocks of land set aside for a new public school and a new separate school.
- In the fall of 2014, a new landscape design team from dtah Architects was hired to review consultation inputs and work on a new program for the park. Their design was presented to the local community on January 29, 2015.
